I'm getting full boost with bad gas

I know this isn't what some of you want to hear, but at times I'm actually getting full boost with 87. I was a little low on cash so I got a couple bucks of 87 just to get by (tank was nearly dry, so it's all 87 in it now.) Before this, I've _always_ used 93 and 90% of the time I got 100% boost (y/r line.) (I'll save the other 10% for another post.) I was really surprised this morning when I got full boost from 87. So the question is, should I get full boost from 87 or do you think the knock sensor is failing, letting some (inaudible to humans) knocking get by?
Thanks,
Nathan
