Hey all,
My '89 Saab 900Turbo overheats. I put a new radiator on it last winter. When it's cool outside (60-70 degrees) the fan operates normally. it goes up to 3/4 and the fans bring the gage back down to 1/2. However, when it gets hot outside and the car has been ran for a while, the gage climbs close to hot (7/8 on the gage), then the fan comes on. I thought that the fan is always (no matter what temperature) supposed to come on when the gage reaches 3/4. How do I make my fans come on ALWAYS NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE IS at 3/4 on the gage, which is normal?? I don't feel comfortable when the weather gets to be 90 degrees and the fans don't come on until 7/8 on the gage? BTW, i have also replaced the fan temp. switch.
