Are you sure you didn't plug a line going to the fuel-cut off, apc pressure transducer and the gauge?
You can find out by pulling the left speaker grille and find the vacuum hose with your hand. Follow it to find out what you actually unplugged.
I'm pretty sure the hose on my '88 splits up and goes to all three. You don't want to drive without fuel-cut off!!
best luck,
Anders
