I'm driving a Monte Carlo right now, while on a business trip. The car really makes me appreciate my C900. The Monte Carlo is a shining example of how to minimize visibility. The A-pillars are pretty sloped back, and are always directly in my line of sight while cornering. Same for the rear view mirror. Even the B-pillars (on a 2-door, no less) tend to get in the way, and the side-view mirrors are adaquate, but have an odd view angle to them.
I filled up with fuel today, and used the squeegie to clean the window. I'm still wondering how such a huge piece of glass can give such a small view.
I think I have a 4 cylinder engine (I haven't looked). It's pretty tired, with no motivation to go. Especially this weekend, when I went to Lake Tahoe. Being in excess of 5,000 above sea level really made me wish for my turbo. Driving up some nice twisty roads also made me miss the toss-ability (and great view) of my 99.
The brakes have a nice feel, but don't stop too well. They slow down ok, but the last 30 mph or so just takes forever. The seats are thin, but fairly comfortable, but the headrest isn't positioned well. The trunk is pretty big, though, and flat.
One more week to go before I can drive a driver's car again!
