I just removed mine this weekend pretty easy! If your just going for the compresser.

You will need a I believe 5.5MM allen wrench for the bolts holding it on to the mount. I can get you the wrench to hold the back side as well and then one more wrench to disconnect the one bolt holding the return line and out line fromt he compressor. You can loosen the belt tensior enough to get it the belt of the back end as well.

Piece of cake!

I am assuming it's pretty much the same setup on your 89 as my 86.

As for pricing I wouldn't know I removed mine due to never needing it and lightening the car and free some hp possibly???
