I used the kit from Trolhattan Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Mon, 24 Sep 2001 22:34:43 In Reply to: Anyone replace their headliner with the DIY kits?, DET, Mon, 24 Sep 2001 21:03:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was very pleased with the results and it has been in place for about eight years already. Note that I had to do a bit of rebuilding work on the panel (molded cardboard material) underneath the old cloth, as it was a bit chewed up from having been taken out previously - I successfully used fiberglass. I needed an extra can of spray glue beyond what was included in the kit, but I later thought that spraying both the board and the fabric would work better than just spraying the board.
One thing that you do not get is something for the sunroof area (if your car has one). My car still has the original in place, although it is pretty droopy in damp weather. You will need a different cloth for this area, one without a foam backing material.
