what would cause the rotor in the distributor to arc on all four of the posts in the distributor cap? it also is causing the car to misfire
when cruising / not under load or at idle only when cruising.
I`ve changed the plugs, new leads ( bogicord) new rotor and cap, coil, alternator, still does it. The rotor is arcing only on one corner at the end. There is no sign of black lines in the distributor, only the posts burnt down one side. no vacume leaks, new turbo. the car is a 80 900t, doesnt have lambda or EGR, motor is a 79 turbo with cis injection.
pulling my hair out
TIA ade
