Obviously coolant into the heater core (just above the brake pedal, inside the car) is leaking. Often the heater core goes bad. But if you stop the coolant fluid from getting to the core...no more leaking on your foot. But the price of that fix is no more heat or warm defrost. Chose a warm day to drive to NY. The heater control valve may also be bad or disconnected and if so, you won't be able to shut that off and achieve the stopping of hot fluid into the core. I installed a simple PVC hot water shut-off valve on the inlet tube to the core. This under the hood between the water pump and firewall. Cut a chunk out of hose, insert valve with hose clamps, turn valve to off. DRive away. Fix core later. YOu can leave valve in place in case too hot in summer. Use 1/2 or 3/4 inch, i forgot which. Only $3.00 each plus $2.00 for clamps. Buy hot socks too.
