I live in a New England city with poor snow removal, but not too much snow and not too many hills. I need to buy new tires anyway. Should a good set of all-seasons be just fine for the winter? Which is a good choice for winter driving? Im less concerned with handling, more with ability to take on potholes and pitched pavement without self destructing and with good ride quality. Does anyone have a reccomendation? I notice that most Saab drivers around here dont bother with snows and seem to have no problems getting the same places I go. Id love to get a new set of Gislaveds, but the money is tight after trans rebuild, and I really wonder if they are a necessity here....
