Hey guys,
I'm scratching my head on this one. I was working on the common 4door taillight ground problem and after severall unsuccessful attempts to stop my turn signal indicators from glowing. I gave up and tried to start my car. It's not starting, its not cranking either. Now to give you all more info, the attempts to correct the turn signal ground was done over a period of days and I not only started my car but drove it around as well. A couple of times when the supplimental ground was installed I would blow my fuses for my turn signals and back up lights, at this point my car wouldn't start (it would crank) after replacing the fuses the car started. The last day I tried running a ground wire from the negative terminal to the supplimental ground, after trying my turn signals they flashed then I heard the fuses pop again. I replaced the same two fuses and tried to start the car, she wouldn't crank at all. Instead the car would do some weird electrical dance where it appeared like the power was being cut on and off very quickly this would set off my aftermarket alarm. As a test of the starter I moved the key to the on position then ran a hot wire from the positive terminal of my battery to the starter sylinoid (spelling?) nothing happend at all. I had no previous problems with my starter what so ever, and prior to this the car started up fine each and every time with little cranking of the motor. Please help, my saab is gathering dust and I miss driving her. Thanks
Mike
