Start with the simple stuff. Is the light in the trunk on? Are the terminals getting good contact with the battery cables? Is the belt running the alternator working as it should?
Batteries seem to be batteries, despite the price, but it could be the problem. If you have a battery charger, you can see if it will accept a charge, or just sits there.
I have no faith in the alternator light on the C900's. I've had issues that should have brought on the light but didn't. It could be the alternator, I've had them charge just enough they would keep the car running indefinitely, but I couldn't restart the car if I turned it off. The Bentley may have a way to test that, or take it to a place that can test it. (Sears used to do this).
I'd be surprised if it was the voltage regulator if the car runs fine once it is going.
I hope it's something simple. Good luck.
