I'm not sure precisely what you're trying to do, but if you're looking to buy a new head unit, you've got endless choices. Saab happily used industry-standard DIN slots, which means you can pretty much use any stereo out there. Installation instructions will of course come with whatever head unit you buy - follow them and you'll be golden. You'll need to find a way to connect the new wiring to the old harness - you can do that either by buying an installation kit (which may not be available anymore), soldering or crimping the wires together, or by getting some crimp-on or solder-on connectors from Radio Shack - whichever route you find easiest. I have the wire color codes on my website, which will save you some trouble when the time comes to figure out what wire does what ont the car's harness.
