A little background. I live in Maryland, after moving down from New York City 5.5 years ago. The closest shop that knows Saabs is 1.5 hours away, so when I visit NYC (2 or 3 times per year), I have a master tech I know work on the car.

Last time, we took it for a spin, and there was gobs of boost. And acceleration. And smiles.

Driving home from NYC, though, it would boost about 1/2 yellow, pause for a second, then continue to red. Later during the trip (6 hours), it would just boost to 1/2 yellow. I called him, and he said it sounds like the pressure sensor, though it could be a few things.

Then this past Saturday, it boosted consistantly just a hair into red (I had tweaked it to boost about 1/4 - 1/3 red), but this didn't bring the acceleration it should've. I'm assuming the lack of acceleration is another issue, so I'll check the cylinder compression this weekend.

I also have a new catalytic, but haven't installed it yet.
