I took my 900S into the dealer to have the idler pulley replaced and ended up having my power steering sabatoged by the mechanic. I went out the next morning and there was fluid all over the driveway. I traced the leak and found where the mechanic had tampered with my power steering unit. Anyway, it reinfoced my hesitations about taking a car to a dealer after the warranty runs out. (When my Range Rover's steering started wobbling the dealer said it would cost $8,500 to fix the entire front suspension. I ended up parking it for a year until I found a Land Rover guy that looked under it and found a $20.00 bushing that was bad. I replaced it and the Rover drove perfect from then on!). Anyway, I didn't have time to take the Saab 85 miles to the dealer and of course I couldn't "prove" they had tampered with it, so I just put in some power steering "stop leak". I have to add some every 2 or 3 weeks but it's cheaper than repacing the power steering unit! I've found that the simplest solution is often the best. Good luck.
