I know HEPU is good , never used or heard of LASO, but Genuine SAAB is always good. It is not necessary to remove the A/C compressor but it does make it a lot easier to see the water pump and remove the old gasket material of which you will want to completely remove. To yank the compressor off take off the a/c belt, remove the two bolts holding the bracket on the head with the metal spacers on them. Remove the alt belts to let the alternator hang down to get access to the other a/c compressor bracket bolt. I beleive it is a 12mm head bolt that should be able to be removed, if not then the compressor bracket may be slotted but I don't know what year they started doing that. remove the compressor and bracket as one piece and swing out of the way somewhere being careful not not bend the aluminium lines to the compressor. When the compressor and bracket are removed you should have a clear shot at the water pump. Remove the three 10mm headed bolts holding the pulley onto the pump-try not to bust any knuckles. Then I think there are five 12mm headed bolts holing the water pump on unless someone has replaced them with more common 13mm headed bolts. the two bolts on the lower portion are longer than the other bolts. keep them in order as they each go in their own place( except the small ones are the same length)Make sure you get all of the old gasket material off before you install the new one. sometimes I use a small amount of copper coat gasket dressing although I now read that may not be a good idea( but I haven't had any problems)
don't forget to bleed the cooling system after you refill it.
