It's a 5 speed. I just got the car about a month ago, and since the box was working perfectly and didn't have the usual dipstick, I didn't feel pressed to check it. After noticing it was a little noisy, I decided to check it. It didn't even register on the bottom of the little dipstick. Now that I've filled it, it works great again - no noise. Was there any permanent damage? (two litres of oil brought the level up to the top of the dipstick).
I finally get a SAAB that shifts smoothly into second, and I blow it!
Thanks in advance for any input.
