System pressurizes when you press pedal to disengage. If its leaking, it would engage closer to the floor, and eventually you couldn't DISengage. For example a burst hose, you can't disengage the clutch.

Any way you're getting oil on the clutch? Maybe the hydraulic system is OK but the plates are "slippery"? C900 clutch cover is easy to take off, so take a look.
