Ok, unfortunately my frikken Bentley has gone to live at my father's house at the worst time... and tom townsend's site is down. I even have a 1985 Saab in-house electrical manual that has all the wiring diagrams and even pictures that show me where all the key electrical components are located... i have a photo that shows a pin or something behind the power steering reservoir... this does not exist in my car... perhaps it has been removed. I assume this is the part that you all are referring to to set the dwell on the fuel injection system?
All that is there are 2 mysterious wires... they both come out of the big hole that leads to the interior of the car where the ECU is.. the are both in the same black sheath and one wire is yellow, while one wire is black... nothing is connected to the ends of them but they have connectors crimped on so that they could be connected to each other.. the brown wire is really long and folded up and zip tied together neatly... this seems unlikely to be original.. but it has a sheath that looks like OEM.
Also, by the power distribution block, there are 2 little harnesses... one has 3 pins and is black with various colored wires going into it and next to it is a wire with a white slide on connector.. they both come from the same sheath as well. I've seen these little wire harnesses on various c900's without anything connected to them.. what is this?
If i remember correctly, the electrical manual said that the LH test wire that i need to read the dwell from is green.... but I'm not sure now.. i dont have it in front of me.
Any help would be very appreciated.. I'm about to pull my hair out.
Thanks..
