It's a square rubber block about 2 inches tall and 1/2 inch thick. It's right at the firewall. If you look down behind the a/c compressor you might see it. I just replaced it on our '92 9000 and was surprised at how good the original one was. The easiest way to check it is to put it into gear and have someone push the shifter side to side. YOu look down there and see if one coupling moves while the other doesn't. If both don't twist the same amount the rubber is cracked.
