Ok. If it's the original radio, then there is a sleeve that the radio actually sits in (it's a pull out). What I've had to do in the past is use the cassette opening as a handle while I pulled. All the U tools do is press some retaining clips close to the radio so that they pass through the sleeve. I.E. don't use the tools as a handle. Those original radios can be a real pain to get out, you just have to pull like hell. Once you get it out it shouldn't be to tough to remove the sleeve. There are usually little folding wings of metal close to the edge that hold it in, just use a small screwdriver to pry them up, and it should come out.
