I've read the threads too, Scott, hence my reservations. He's been *extremely* responsive tonight - four emails have gone back and forth from each side. Phil Lacefield indicates he's a good guy, and several others met him at SOC with similar reactions. That all gives me hope, but I'm still moving cautiously. I definitely do not want to end up dealing with another Frank/Group6 problem.
What we're at right now, which I think to be a good deal, is ~$90 shipped to your door for '88+ clear corners. That's about $20 less than ordering from Elk Parts. The earlier ones are much cheaper - ~$50 shipped. They will be ordered on the 26th of August, and should arrive at the end user 2-3 weeks later. Canadian orders will be $3 more, and will take some additional time to clear customs. They'll be shipped UPS, with tracking numbers and insurance.
The last detail to work out is payment. I'm thinking it will be easiest to do one big transaction - everyone will send everything to me (money, name, address) and I'll forward it all to Engstrom. I'm cool with whatever, and it seems so is he. This is up for discussion... everyone, email me and let me know what you think. I can do it as one big credit card purchase to afford some protection, or not. And no, I don't have a Frequent Flyer Miles credit card. :P
Thanks! I'm looking to wrap this up and put it to bed by tomorrow night with a firm plan.
