So, does this mean I can't check the timing on my car?? If so, how does one go about setting the timing?? Also, when you say line up the marks on the distributer and the head, what marks?
I had my harmonic balancer and crank sensor replaced about 2 years ago. The guy who did it messed up the sensor part so they had to go back in and do it again. I was stranded about 500 miles from home. The dealer paid all expenses (towing, rental car) - thats why I'm staying with them. Anyway, I had to bring it back as the timing was off. They said they adjusted the timing. Do you think they did it the right way? Or might they have simply made a minor adjustment without scoping it and sent me on my way.
