This is a complex matter! You could be dealing with a fuel injection problem, or a electronic ignition problem. I think that the most likely culprits are AIC valve, fuel regulator or throttle valve. That being said the first thing I would do is do an ECU test to determine if any fault codes exist. If none exist then the second thing I would do is throughly clean out the throttle valve using a fuel injection cleaner (not a carberator cleaner)and a tooth brush/rag. I would also clean the AIC (air control valve) and/or replace if faulty (junk yards are a good source, I think I got one out of a Volvo that was the same, if Saabs aren't available look at other foreign cars)and maybe Ebay. Then test or replace the fuel regulator.
Of course you have O2 sensors, Hall Effect Switch (crank mounted in your case), AMM (air mass meter), fuel pressure regulator, etc...
