Budget 5 hours. DO NOT REMOVE THE ALTERNATOR! That job in and of itself is a pain. Look in a Bentleys and check the Townsend site (sponsor). The basis steps are:
1. remove a/c belt and unbolt a/c compressor. Move the compressor out of the way with hoses still attached.
2. Drain coolant
3. remove 4 10mm bolts on w/p pully and remove pully with alt/w/p belts all at once.
4. unbolt waterpump (keep in mind that two of the bolts are longer than the others.
5. Remove old gasket that will be stuck on the w/p casing.
6. Install new pump, put belts back on, etc.
7. Fill with your favorite flavor of coolant. Bleed,
and you are done. This is of course truncated, but you get the idea. Use an OEM waterpump with a cast impeller, like a Lobro. $40 from a sponsor. Good luck. Its a pain but dooable.
