I too was not terribly impressed with the 185 hp engine as delivered.
The factory settings were a little too mild, and the car never "came on" with a rush of power. If you've not changed any other settings or components I'm surprised the boost reaches into the red. With a few mods you can run a little more or lots more boost. The red zone is just higher than the factory setting.
