My Indy Saab mechanic moved his shop even further away I needed a waterpump desperatly so I used another shop where I personnally Knew the owner. (I purchased new OEM water pump $74 from E Europarts awsome price I thought ) Then brought in . well they also did me the favor of replacing my belts for and extra $99 (even though they were all replaced last summer and did not need replacing I looked the other way on this as I figured I probably ripped mecahnic off cause I got my own part)
Well to make a long story longer. cost 250 for pump & new belts. (this I also did not sweat as convenience and immediate fix offset) Then I gotr car back and about two weeks later on a rainy day car goes into "limp home Mode" I barely get to gas station and while out of rain car comes back to life. Then about one week after that I notice while looking under hood (thank ggod i did, as I have been fighting a major type F leak. ) I notice my wiring harness slammed into AC Belt and at least 4 wires stripped bare and almost cut through. (I discover this trinket Thanksgiving morning) Drive to rents house for dinner & investigate wires four stripped of plastic so I coat w/ electrical tape to keep from shorting other wire almost cut through I also tape but this will need fixing later. Note to self dont let anyone not qualified touch mechanic of engine.
