I hear nothing but horror stories about the full size chevy vans. Stay with the FORD, they are good. I've driven all 3 and would take the ford over dodge and dodge over chevy. Actually you couldn't pay me to drive the chevy. For a while the 3/4 ton chevy's had a problem with the p/s pump on the 350 motor. When the shaft broke you lost P/S and your brakes. Happened to me with a 3/4 ton Suburban and a fully loaded trailer.
I have driven the Ford 1 ton vans 15 passenger and I like the power from the 8 and 10 cyl. The ride is good and the vans seem to be built well. The dodge is about the same, but lacks the comfort for teh front passengers b/c of the cab forward design.

You can read more about nasty chevy brake problems (frequent change intervals) elsewhere on the net.
