I have a similar problem, but I have never been able to find a leaking vaccuum hose. Last summer I had the problem of my car being 'stuck' idling at 1100-1800 rpm fairly consistently after being driven on the highway or taken up into the revs. I'm having the same issue now. Usually I get the up and down rpm at startup and a good rev or just driving a few feet gets rid of it. Last summer when I had the 'stuck' problem I cleaned out the AIC with carb cleaner and it seemed to rectifiy the situation. Well, it's back. This weekend among other things, I cleaned out the AIC valve again. No change. I'm going to try letting it idle tomorrow (since now I can do that since I replaced my parking brake cables this weekend) and rap the AIC valve with a screwdriver handle to see if it's changes the idle. Do some of the same culprits apply for a 'stuck' idle too? It's very very annoying and I'd like to get rid of it since I just spent a ton of money getting a bunch of things fixed and spent this weekend doing some things on my own. Thanks.
