Dying velour back seat to Black?

Hello folks, I tried searching the forums here and didnt come up with much information. I'm looking to dye a faded back seat from a 900 (it was once grey and is now a faded purple color). The fabric is velour. I want to dye it black. What are my options? Are there shops that might do this? I was kind of hoping for a DIY product that i could spray or brush on. Is there a product out there that will give good dark coverage and not fade?
The only lead i've found is to try Mar-Hyde Fabric Color which seems to be available at Pep boys. Any experience with this stuff? Any comments or helpful hints?
Dont tell me this is not possible, because i know it is! :)
Thanks!
