then the heat build up is the problem and lights are false error code indicating pump failure my 1990 900 TC does this every time the brake fluid gets old. My solution is to eliminate the heat I drive in & out of NYC so brakes are hot hot hot especially when weather gets hot. So I flushed & must use DOT 4 Castrol seems to be best here. also clean brake lines in front of engine mostly as front brakes do most of work this importanrt step I find very helpfull in keeping system cool. Also new pads dont hurt even if 15 % left. If your lights stay off until you drive alittle in traffic ojn a hot day it is just a false error code.
