1994 Convertible? Posted by Randy Thatcher [Email] (#22) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Randy Thatcher) on Thu, 26 Jun 2003 19:17:20 In Reply to: 1994 900S Radiator $$$, paigew, Thu, 26 Jun 2003 09:25:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If it's a convertible, it's not bad. If it's a hardtop, see the NG900 board.
I did my 94 ragtop's radiator in about 2 hours. You get a new radiator from a site sponsor (Sobstory, eEuroparts, etc.) for less than $150. I think it's closer to 130, but I forget.
You can leave the hood on.
Yank the fans out.
Drain coolant (save for later, or put in fresh)
Disconnect the wires to the fan temp sensor
Yank Hoses.
Pull Radiator
Yank Fan Temp Sensor and install in new radiator.
Installation is reverse of removal.
Refill and bleed system.
A Bentley Manual helps matters. That will give you the proper bleeding procedure, torque values, etc.
Enjoy the fact that you saved $550 over the mechanic.
