This morning my girlfriend and I were leaving for the beach in my car. When pulling out of the driveway, I noticed that her car, the '86 900 S 2-door which was parked on the street perpendicular to our driveway, had its right rear wheel up on the curb. I immediately noticed that this was weird since I was the last person to drive the car and parked it there myself last night at 10:00, not on the curb. Anyway, I pulled out further and saw that the left rear fender and wheel are were smashed in and there were streaks of black paint on the side of the car. The right wheel was also bent from being pushed against the curb and it looks like the axle may be bent as well. Anyway, I pretty much lost it and screamed at the top of my lungs how I wanted to kill the motherf*cker who messed up her car. The body on this car was near perfect, never had an accident, no rust, nearly perfect Rose Quartz paint that I had just waxed two weekends ago. Anyway, I calmed down enough to call the police and they sent a cop over to investigate. He came right away, and was pretty helpful. We noticed tire marks on the lawn of the house across the street. Fortunately, my neighbor heard my screaming and came down and said the she had seen a black Nissan last night that appeared to be in rough shape and was having trouble running. Well, the cop told us that a black Nissan Altima was reported as being hit down the street with damage to the right front corner. He said that given the circumstantial evidence that this car was the one that hit our Saab! He told us that regardless of whether the owner confessed that he was going to charge them with leaving the scene of an accident! I hope they nail the f*cker to the wall for this! Her car was really nice and it will never be the same now. Funny, since we were just talking about the dwindling number of nice 2-doors in this country. Maybe since it's messed up I'll have no choice but to build it into a rally car. :-P
