Help with Turbo oil outlet pipe

I am putting a header on my 85 SPG and we got it all together with the turbo on, but didn't put the oil outlet pipe that goes under the turbo and into the side of the block back on. I can't get the pipe to seat into its hole in the block! It won't slide into the o-ring that makes the seal, and is's the only thing holding me up from playing with my new modification. If anyone has any suggestions/tricks to get the pipe into the block I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks,
Drew
