the old haynes a great source for trans but ignores diff setup. chapter 4 of saab shop manual takes care of that, get it at dealer. no special tools "required" beyond some gauges and a dial indicator ( but it does make it easier, just post back when stuck on a procedure). Scanwest does a lot of transmissions. tear yours down and inspect closely, then phone scanwest ( seattle) for parts and ask for jeff. a lot of times bearing prices are close at the dealer. s/w will know exactly what you are doing though..not too many dealers involve thenselves in c900 trans issues these days. be sure to pull pass side diff cup and inspect after popping the race. that side takes most of the wear.
