It was really straight forward with Pat's instructions. And it really turned out VERY nice. It is nice and tight. I used a top from Bill Hirsch which was one of the tops Pat recommended. Top (including shipping) and all materials to install was right around $300.
It took about 3 hours to remove the old top. The hardest part is removing the side spoilers. After I figured it out, it was simple on my '93. Just put the top all the way down and undo the one bolt which is located behind rear window and is accesible without removing the interior panel. One nut holds them on and then you just have to pull up like He-Man. Prying a bit with a screw driver helped.
Installation took about 10 hours - not including breaks.
As Pat recommended, I used stainless staples. Mernards, a local hardware&building materials chain, did not have stainless or Monel staples. So I went to Home Depot as his instructions suggested. I did not find an use for the 1/4". They seemed too short. I used all 3/8".
I bought the recommended 3M weatherstrip adhesive from Pep Boys.
At certain points of the installation, having a friend is very helpful (gluing/stapling the top the first bow).
If you have the time and the patience, it really is straight forward. I would do it again if I had to.
I love the look of my car with my nice new tight top!
Kudos to Pat Price!
