If it's the fuel return line at the tank, maybe you don't have to drop the tank. On my '89 both the supply & return lines were accessible thru the access plate under the trunk floor. They both attached at the fuel pump assembly.
There's a plastic bracket holding them down, along with holding the electrical connection. Take off that bracket, pull the elbow fittings straight up. Their O-rings might be dried up & not sealing very good.
