Any work done under the dash before it failed?
The vacumn pump that works the cruise control is in the left front fender well. Take the vacumn line off the pump and apply suction. You should experience resistance. IF you don't, ie you can suck air through the hose without resistance, then the hose has fallen off the diaphragm under the dash (or more likely been dislodged) or perhaps the intereupt switch has failed.
If there is resistance, then that portion is OK.
Hope this helps.
