If your hall-effect sensor were bad, you wouldn't have any spark.
When you crank the starter, does your tachometer jump? If not, then maybe the ECU isn't getting a tach signal from the ignition. Then it won't fire the injectors.
Know how to jump the service connector to read ECU fault codes? The first code when the engine's not running is 12231 (no ignition signal). But if you crank the starter for a few seconds then DON'T TURN THE KEY OFF, check the code right away, you shouldn't get code 12231.
Anyway, you'll see whether your ECU has stored any other codes, too.
