Yes the motor in the trunk actuates the cables that run up to the roof - makes for a very quiet sunroof. The way the cables attach to the motor is funky - just take a good look at it before you take it apart and mark where each cable goes - I hooked mine up backwards the first time! If you start the project by disassembling the 4-door first, you will learn where everything is, where the cables run and what the wire colors are. Since both cars are 1985, the wire colors should be the same. IIRC, the sunroof motor has a 2-pin connector and its the only one in the trunk, so thats easy to find. The sunroof switch has a larger 6-pin connector... took me a while to find that one, it was tucked wayyyy under the center console.
