Best V-12 Jaguar ever made, decent EFI, decent longevity (should get 100,000 between valve jobs, IF OWNED BY THE CORRECT PERSON!!!!)

You should NEVER over pay for an XJS! That car is worth 4K any day of the week, regardless of the miles, don't care what anyone says! Convertibles hold there value a bit better, but again aren't as special in terms of value as their owners think they are. Estimated yearly running costs will be roughly $1000-1500 if driven semi daily and normal stuff is done. Rear brake job (in-board like an Indy car, they ALWAYS need rotors, due to the Brit's using a three piece rotor - unless updated) will run you $1000.00 on a good day. More if you need axel seals, which if you don't now you will, less if simply a pad swap and rotor turn.

Tune up's are $500-800, 12 Champion N12YC's are cheap, getting to them is not, you must pull apart the "tower" on top of the motor.

Don't get me wrong, nothing beats the 80-135 MPH time of a Jag V-12 (that's no embelishment), too bad they didn't import the 5-speed's! I say go for it, but know what it will (NOT COULD) intale in terms of needs.

GET A PRE PURCHASE!!!! Best money you will ever spend!

Good luck, and please ask me ANY questions about it, be happy to help ya out!

Jeff
