JohnK, as always, thanks for your detailed explanation(s).
Here is where i'm at:
Trunk light: never new it existed (and i've owned the car 14 years!!) Previous owner had it off and i never knew to turn it on. Anyway, trunk light 'sort-of' is ok. When in up position it works as it's supposed to, but it doesn't illuminate in either of the other 2 positions (as it shouldn't in one of them, but can't turn it on manually to remain on)
Driver "B" Pillar light: works fine
Rearview Mirror light: works fine
Ignition lights: can't find them, i'll have to check Bently, but is there is a 'trick' to finding them. Further explanation as to location would be great.
Radio: pulled radio and still had drain on the system
Time Delay Relay: found a relay on the crossmember (closest relay to the driver side). I unplugged it and performed the same test I had been (leaving the relay unplugged) and the drain was HUGE. Whereas previously the meter needle would 'pulse' back-and-forth, it would now be pinned to the right. I plugged the relay back in and re-tested... still pinned to the right! Is it possible i messed something up, or perhaps the relay was indeed on the 'fritz' and my unplugging it killed it for good? (is this normal for a failing relay) The relay was SAAB 95 12 823. Is there a way to 'test' a relay?
So i'll await your advice as to my next move... either doing something more with the relay or further instructions as to the location of the ignitition lights.
THANKS!
