How much oil in new A/C compressor (converting to R-134

I bought a new A/C compressor in eBay, and would like to install the compressor, receiver-dryer & new hoses myself, and then take it to an A/C shop to charge & test (quote I got for doing whole the job was $500+).
The new compressor was shipped "dry", and came w/ a can of Ester oil. I have been reading different posts on this topic, and it's only getting me worried... If I put in too much oil, it will decrease the cooling, etc.
Also, should I put any oil in the new receiver-dryer, or only in the compressor?
Thanks for any tips on this!
