Lifter Issues / Q's

Hey All-
’87 900T, motor with less than 20K on rebuild. Every time I change the oil, the lifters tick intermittently for about two weeks, when at full operating temp (only a fraction of a second on startup, so as usual). This last oil change has kept them ticking now for about three weeks, and only persistently shuts-up when pushing the car hard (lots of sustained boost) up the grade.
Is this merely a bad replaced lifter that's decided to get sticky? Or could this be an oil pressure issue? Car burns zero oil, and I change the oil every 3000-3500 with 10W-30 Valvoline. I’d say this problem started at about 15K into the rebuild. The laws of thinning viscosity would actually cause the car to tick more on older oil rather than on new; right? I have not tried any BG MOA as of yet...
Thanks in Advance!
