Hi Anders,
Thanks for the reply, I will have to check with Eeuroparts, they say that the studs are Wurth "Saab Quality", whatever that means. Perhaps they simply sent the wrong part or the OEM studs have been updated somehow. I just don't want to mess anything up reassembling since it took so bloody long to get that stud out. I'm still marveling at the fact that no threads in the cylinder head were harmed as a result of drilling all day. The broken piece that came out had a pretty intact shoulder and the drilling didn't deform it too much so it pretty much came out once we got a good center hole and used a square, fluted ez out. The right angle drill I rented was pretty much useless, too much torque and not enough revs, in the end a Dremel with plenty of lubrication did the trick.
