Speaking of stereos...

Got my front separates installed. Drivers in the doors, in front of the door pulls. Tweets in the speaker covers on top of the dash, in the "blank circle".
I installed the head unit and ran all the RCA cords, CD remote cable, power and speaker wires a couple months ago, but left the front for last, since I knew I needed help from my installer buddy. You have to either get shallow drivers and/or make spacer rings to avoid interference with the windows.
Easy part: cutting the door panel and metal (easy with an air saw). Hard part: running wires through the rubber S-tube into the door (used secret home-made installer tool) without removing the doors. Skill part: cutting holes in trim panels and re-covering to look good.
Unfinished is tying down the amps in the trunk well and the CD changer in the trunk.
I'll get some pictures up one of these days, but for those interested, the hardware is Alpine 7390 head unit (AM/FM/cassette), Nak PA 504 (4x50) running the front separates (Eton 5's)& rear 4x10's (kenwood coax), Soundstream D100 running (in mono) 2 Alpine 8 subs, Alpine remote CD (forgot the model #), and a little 18 watt Alpine amp running 4 inch Alpine coax's in the existing dash location.
The important thing is that IMO, to get a real upgrade you have to put something bigger than the 4-inch dash speakers in the front cabin.
