The only thing I agree with is that if you passed emissions Jong, leave your car the "F" alone. What is it with people who want to fix things that are not broken?
1) The cat should be purchased after market for a cheaper deal OR find a friend with a dead Saab and take the used one. You cannot buy a used catalytic converter in the US for some stupid reason.
2) If you pay $120 for an O2 sensor, than you need your head examined. I spent $30 and spliced the wires myself for a generic O2 sensor with 3 wires. Works great.
3) The catalytic conveter is one of the easiest and fastest jobs you can do. "Dirty and frustrating" is no way to describe it. The old bolts usually break off with a ratchet twisting on them, and the whole cat falls out. The new one just slides right in with gasgets and screws.
