2 sided tape is what my saab dealer gave me to use. I think it was 3M. I bet anything including epoxy would work.
Clean the back of the mirror carefully with alcohol. Do the same with the rubber backing. Then use 2 sided tape and press in place. Line it up carefully as you only get one chance. Epoxy might give you a second chance until it hardens up.
The tape lasted for several years (until the car died), when I did it.
