I know this won't be economical but I'd still like to know if it's possible.
Hit a car which was running a red light at about 30 - 35 mph. The area from the windshield back is fine. The front end is a mess. condensor, radiator, bumper, hood, both quarter panels all hosed. Drivers side wheel appears ok and in align with the frame. Passenger side wheel is not, it's a couple inches off or so. The driveshaft is still in place. I think the engine was pushed back an inch or two but appears to be still on the mount on the passenger side.
I was thinking of buying it back from the insurance company after they total it and disassembling the front end and pulling the engine at my leisure then if possible taking it to a frame shop to straighten, if it's not possible to fix, then I'd part it out (engine is Very good, repacement tranny only has 20k on it and A/C compressor is only 3 yrs old (r134 too).
Possible or a fantasy??
