So I was having this problem where my car wouldnt start in the rain, and if it did it ran horribly. I eventually sprayed water on the cap and wires (which are relativly new) and then the coil. When I hit the coil with water it shut right off. Ok so coil seems bad. today however it wasnt really wet, and not wet under the hood and the car wouldnt start. so I said OK its time to use another coil and I switched the coil with another one. Still wouldnt start. Went inside got frustrated went back out. Decieded to put the old coil back on and then it started right up! The coil is in good physical shape. wanst corroded and dirty like the one I was going to replace it with and I couldnt notice any cracks. any ideas whats going on here? When I did switch the coil with another I checked for spark and there was none. Could there be anything else that is giving me this no start or is something funky with my coil/coils?
