It's my experience with the older car versions that those fans do pull up and out with the top two screws loosened as you stated. That bottom screw has to be loose though. I'll bet you can "jimmy" it loose and pull it up without too much trouble even if that screw is snug. Try laying on cardboard if you have to see some ground action. Also, you said right hand side fan - that's usually the engine cooling fan. Unless you're looking at it from the front...
